Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms govern your use of OpenGym (the "Platform"), operated by OpenGym Mozgás Kft. ("we", "us"). The Platform connects Experts who teach classes with Customers who buy seats in those classes. We are not a party to the class itself — we are a marketplace.

By creating an account or buying a ticket, you accept these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please don't use the Platform.

1. Account & access

You can sign in with an email one-time code or via a connected social account (Google, Facebook, X). You must be 16 or older to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure.

We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to abuse the platform, or harm other users.

2. Booking & tickets

When you buy a ticket you receive a unique voucher code in the form XXX-XXX-XXX. The voucher is transferable — anyone with the link can attend. We treat the holder of the voucher as the attendee for that session.

Booking confirmations are sent by email. We are not responsible for emails filtered as spam.

3. Refund policy

Full terms of each cancellation window are visible on the Activity page before checkout. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

If an Expert cancels a session, you receive a full refund automatically. If we cancel a session for safety or legal reasons, you also receive a full refund.

4. Expert obligations

• Hold valid personal-liability insurance for the activities they host.
• Deliver the session as advertised (duration, location, capacity).
• Run the session safely — including injury check-ins and beginner accommodations.
• Issue refunds to OpenGym's automated rules; not negotiate side deals.

5. Customer responsibilities

• Arrive on time, prepared with the listed required items.
• Disclose injuries or health conditions that may affect your safety in class.
• Cancel by the deadline if you can't attend, so others can take the spot.
• Treat Experts and other participants with respect.

6. Liability & insurance

Physical activity carries inherent risk. By attending, you accept that risk. OpenGym is a marketplace — the Expert is the responsible party in the room, covered by their own liability insurance. We do not provide medical, fitness, or rehabilitative advice.

7. Payment & fees

Customers pay the displayed Activity price, in the local currency of the city, plus a small fixed service fee per order that covers payment processing. The service fee is shown clearly at checkout before you pay — there are no hidden fees. The service fee is non-refundable; if a ticket is refunded, you receive the Activity price back.

Experts receive at least 85% of the Activity price after a session is completed (90% for founding members); the service fee is paid by the customer and never reduces the Expert's share. Payouts are made via Stripe within 48 hours of the session ending.

8. Content & reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on a session you actually attended. We may remove reviews that contain harassment, personal information, or are demonstrably false. Experts may not retaliate against reviewers.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from Account → Security. Close account, We retain order and payment records for 7 years for legal and tax reasons; everything else is anonymised.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Hungarian law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Budapest, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to your local courts.
